Business Analysis

Often small business owners are so close to the business that they "can't see the forest for the trees". Diamond M is here to help you take a step back and gain an over all perspective of your business.

My Analysis takes a methodical approach of looking at each major component of your business in a fact based, analytical fashion.
We begin with understanding your goals for the company as the business owner. Small businesses do not always have the goal of dominating their market and making as much money as possible. Many times, there are family/friend dynamics that influence decisions more than business considerations.

Then we move on to your products and/or services. What markets they play in and what value they bring to your customers. What needs do they fulfill. Who are your customers and what characteristics do they share among themselves.

Next we look at how much it costs to develop and provide your products/services. Cost is made up of time, money, manpower, capital expenses and overhead.

Then we examine the amount of money you make from each product/service, based on the revenue you receive for each verses the money it costs to provide the product/service.

After that, we move to organizational information about people, roles and responsibilities. Are the right people in the right seats on the bus?

Lastly, we explore the future. What goals, strategies and plans do you have for the future?

With all this data laid out before us, we can analyze your business to determine where money is spent and what return you are receiving from that money. We can determine if your products meet your customer's needs and where you might improve them. What marketing and sales strategies are successful and which ones aren't. Where you have weaknesses in your team and what skill sets are needed to fill those weaknesses.

In the end, you will have a number of issues to work on. You will know what you expect to gain from those efforts and will have measurable goals to track your progress toward them. The process takes a little time and a lot of work on your part, but the reward is that you can be more confident that you are addressing issues critical to your business.
